How to program a Departement's price.

  1. Switch to PGM (Program) mode.
  2. Type "1".
  3. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.
  4. Type in the desired Department number.
  5. Type "04".
  6. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.
  7. Type in the desired price of the Department.
  8. Press the [CA/AMT TEND] button.
  9. IF you wish to set the price of the next sequential Department, go to step 7.
  10. IF you wish to set the price of a Department that is out of sequence, go to step 4.
  11. IF you wish to leave, press the [SUBTOTAL] button.


Example:

You want to set the price of Department number 150 as "1100", the price of Department number 151 as "5500", and the price of Department number 153 as "27500". After that you leave. You do the following:

  1. Switch to PGM (Program) mode.
  2. Type "1".
  3. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.
  4. Type "50".
  5. Type "04".
  6. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.
  7. Type "1100".
  8. Press the [CA/AMT TEND] button.
  9. Type "5500".
  10. Press the [CA/AMT TEND] button.
  11. Type "53".
  12. Type "04".
  13. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.
  14. Type "27500".
  15. Press the [CA/AMT TEND] button.
  16. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.

How to link a PLU to a Department.

  1. Switch to PGM (Program) mode.
  2. Type "3".
  3. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.
  4. Type "1166".
  5. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.
  6. Type in the desired PLU number.
  7. Press the [PLU] button.
  8. Type "0000".
  9. Type in the 3 digits of the desired Department to be linked to that PLU.
  10. Press the [CA/AMT TEND] button.
  11. IF you wish to link the next sequential PLU, go to step 8.
  12. IF you wish to link a PLU that is out of sequence, go to step 6.
  13. IF you wish to leave, press the [SUBTOTAL] button.
Note: Group linking is currently not covered here for simplicity. A group number is the first three "0"s of "0000" ("000 0 000" or "Group 0 Department").


Example:

You want to link PLU number 50 to Department number 50, PLU number 51 to Department number 51, and PLU number 53 to Department number 53. After that you leave. You do the following:

  1. Switch to PGM (Program) mode.
  2. Type "3".
  3. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.
  4. Type "1166".
  5. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.

  10. Press the [CA/AMT TEND] button.
  11. The printer will now start printing.
  12. IF you wish to stop printing midway, press the [SUBTOTAL] button twice (2X).
  13. Wait till the printer finished printing the programs.
  14. IF you wish to leave, press the [SUBTOTAL] button.

You want to print out the programs of Program mode 1 (which contain numerical values, like the prices of the PLUs) on the PLUs (the PLUs reside at Memory code 04), starting from PLU number 1 and ending at PLU number 50. After that you leave. You do the following:
  1. Switch to PGM (Program) mode.
  2. Type "6".
  3. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.
  4. Type "1".
  5. Type "04".
  6. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.
  7. Type "1".
  8. Press the [CA/AMT TEND] button.
  9. Type "50".
  10. Press the [CA/AMT TEND] button.
  11. Wait till the printer finished printing the programs.
  12. Press the [SUBTOTAL] button.

The types of keys used to switch modes on Casio cash registers.

The following are the types of keys used to switch modes on Casio cash registers.

OP (Operator) key
Used to access the most basic modes of operation only.

M (Master) key
Used to access some modes of operation.

OW (Owner) key
Used to access most modes of operation.
In some Casio cash registers, it has the same function of as the PGM (Program) key.

PGM (Program) key
Used to access all modes of operation, including the Program mode.
